Looking for that next surface to inspire your creativity? We have it! Check out our new line, Make Market™, exclusively at Michaels. We’ve curated natural and raw surfaces that you can either D.I.Y and personalize to your style, or leave as is and use in your home. With collections of Chalk, Burlap, Cork, Galvanized and even Denim, you’ll find the perfect surface for your next project. Check out a few of the things we created with these fun pieces.
First up, Chalk. Inspired by French flea markets, this nostalgic look has been around for a while. We found a few more unique surfaces with a chalk slate or covered in chalk paint for you to dress up. Check out what we did with these Chalkboard Painted Winebottles (and yes, they come pre-painted so you can just decorate!).
As our journey continues – let’s take a look at Cork. Truly a raw surface, it’s more than just your basic office bulletin board. We’ve got everything from ribbon, to cork tiles, or even just a bunch of raw bottle corks! All can be used in so many ways. Use the ribbon as a decorative way to hang photos or around your favorite lamp. Raw bottle corks can be used as vase fillers, or create something really cool like a serving tray. Check out what we did with the cork tiles below!
Our newest surface, Denim. Denim is hot right now in fashion, and we love the classic look (and the fact we get to wear our jeans to the office!). We have everything from denim canvas, to a single denim pocket & even shades of denim paint. This casual American staple will look great with almost any décor. Check out what we did with our pre-made Denim letters!
Finally, Galvanized. The industrial look has been a trend in home décor across the country. Our trend experts have curated a line you’ll love to craft on or use as stand alone pieces. From letters, to ribbon and basic buckets, galvanized is hot! We took the galvanized ribbon and glued it to painted clay pots, check out how easy it was in this video.
