Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17th

Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17th!  It’s the unofficial holiday increasingly celebrated around the nation encouraging people to commit acts of kindness out of the goodness of their hearts. Leading up to this day, we are asking YOU to craft a heart and pass it on to someone else. Give them to friends, family, co-workers, leave them on the bus or train, surprise your barista … you get the idea! Your crafted heart can take any form. We’ve even created a free printable tag to include on your crafted heart! Here are a couple of ideas to inspire you:

This Glitter Heart Card is easy to make and gives you lots of room to write kind words inside. Glitter Heart Card

If you’re feeling artsy, make this Chevron Wrapped Canvas with a Felt Heart. It comes together in no time at all and would be perfect for a co-worker or your child’s teacher. Heart Canvas

I think it would be fun to get the kiddos involved and craft these Heart Wands. It’s never to early to teach them good deeds! Heart Wand

In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Day, we are hosting an in-store event on February 12th, where you can come make a tissue-paper heart to get your started!

Don’t forget to share your heart project on Instagram. We’ll re-gram our favorites! Random Acts of Kindness

I can’t wait to see all of your sweet hearts!

  1. It’s awesome to see there’s a Random Acts of Kindness Day. Thank you for sharing these ideas on passing on acts of kindness. I try to make a habit of being out of myself, but need reminders sometimes.
Also, I love card making, and enjoy giving them.

  2. This is wonderful…It is nice to see companies participating in RAK’s (Random acts of kindness). Myself, I have a FB group, where MANY of us do this daily…not just on the 17th.

I encourage ALL OF YOU to continue with these random acts of kindness…even after the 17th!

Thank you for all, for sharing love!

  3. Oh, I wish I was on Instagram! I love RAK and glad to know there is a day to celebrate it! Thank you for sharing and letting the world know. I have made a bunch of crochet hearts to be used as book markers, that I will be leaving at our local library for any one to take and use.
