Why are there not more than just two stores in West Virginia ?
And also, these two stores are close to each other, so basically only one small section of the State is within a manageable distance from either, and can be served effectively and efficiently. Both stores are 80 miles from where I live, and that’s just a bit too far to drive for a 10 dollar item or two.
I end up having to use Crafts 2000 in Parkersburg, which is only an hour drive, barely, compared to the other stores at 2 to 2.5 hours.
I would love to see one in the Point Pleasant, WV or even the Gallipolis, OH area, just 17-20 miles each away from me. I’m in New Haven, WV.
This entire area is chocked full of crafters, woodworkers, quilters, sewers of all kinds, jewelry makers, basket makers, painters, etc., etc., with hundreds of craft shops, and non-craft shops also, selling crafts on consignment, or folks working and selling from their homes or week-end flea markets, tons of church and school bazaars, and many many selling on Facebook, Etsy and eBay, and personal online stores, etc.
Most everyone in the U.S. is familiar with Appalachian artisans !! We are definitely a very “crafty” State !!
