For me, Walt Disney World® will always hold a special place in my heart. My first experience at Disney World was with my grandfather when I was just ten years old. He went on every ride with me (including Splash Mountain), ate way too many churros and bought me my first pair of Mickey ears. I’ll never forget that magical place.
So … I’m super excited to announce that Michaels is the presenting sponsor for the 38th Annual Festival of the Masters magic at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort in FL. This open-air art festival allows guests the chance to see and buy unique pieces from over 300 artists, including more Disney artists than ever before.
Michaels will be at the festival hosting interactive art & craft experiences. This is the perfect crafting opportunity for the entire family. You’ll have the chance to “make and take” a Mickey ear wood frame and sun visor, color a Disney masterpiece featuring characters from Disney’s upcoming animated film, “Frozen,” and contribute to a larger-than-life mural – all of this takes place at Downtown Disney West Side near Bongos.
Of course, there’s a lot more to see and do. Be sure to check out the Disney Artist Village where you will find a wide array of art featuring favorite Disney characters. You may even get the chance to meet the artists behind these amazing pieces of work.

Festival of the Masters kicks off this Friday, November 8th and runs through Sunday, November 10th. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this truly unforgettable event, an art show 38 years in the making!
