Make your own torch for the Winter Games!

The 2014 Winter Games are almost here! Starting February 7th, athletes from around the world will come together and compete for the gold, silver, and bronze. This sporting event represents more than a simple competition. It  is one of the few times when the entire world peacefully comes together to celebrate their athletes and simultaneously observe that the we aren’t as different from each other as we think.

Whether it is figure skating, skiing, snowboarding or the strangely nail-biting, excitement-inducing sport of curling, we can’t wait to cheer for Team USA! For as long as I can remember, I would watch the hours and hours of opening ceremonies coverage with my family. It is such a fun tradition! We usually have snacks and wear a little red, white, and blue. Do you like to celebrate the opening ceremonies too? Take a peek at our patriotic projects perfect for welcoming the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi!

Make a torch that will stay lit throughout the entire games with tissue paper!

Actually we are not different from each other. And it is in the spirit that the athletes have been trained. And I think that this is also valid for simple sports people or not. We are not different, we are all the same.
