Step Back to School in Style with Emoji Shoes

World Emoji Day is July 17th and it has us feeling so EMOJInal! They are the perfect way to describe how we are feeling at any given moment in texts and social media. What better way to celebrate than to step out in style with these super cute emoji kicks? Break out the Tulip Permanent Fabric Markers and display your fave emojis on your toes!

Fabric Markers

Here are the markers that we used for these really cute emoji shoes… you can find them at your local Michaels in the fashion art section. I used the Rainbow Brush Tip 10-piece and Primary Fine Tip 6-piece kit. They come with all the colors you need to make your favorite emoji or design all your own!

MAKER Tip: Stuff each shoe with paper to make it easier to draw on the top of the shoe. Also make sure the shoes are on a flat, even surface.

Kissy Face Emoji

Kissy Face Emoji

With your yellow fine tip marker, draw a small circle about an inch wide at the top of the shoe. Fill in the circle with your yellow brush-tip marker. Trace around the yellow circle with the brown fine-tip marker for more definition. You can also add shading with the orange and yellow markers. Make sure to leave enough space for the other two emojis.

Next, draw the eyebrows and eyes. Start with the slightly raised eyebrow– just make a small curved line and draw a long zero for the eye. For the eye wink, draw a small curved line lower than the raised eyebrow and draw a horizontal apostrophe. Draw a “3” for the lips

MAKER Tip: To make the perfect heart, draw a letter V for the bottom and close it off with a number 3. Fill it in with your red marker.

Draw another small circle slightly below the heart-eye emoji. Fill in the circle with your yellow brush-tip marker. Again, trace around the yellow circle with the brown fine-tip marker. Make two small curved lines for the eyebrows. Now draw two horizontal apostrophes for the eyes. To make the mouth, draw a letter “D” and color it in with the brown fine-tip marker. Use the red and yellow markers to make the blushing cheeks.

Heart Eyes Emoji

Heart-Eye Emoji

For the heart- eye emoji, draw another circle slightly below the kissy face emoji. Fill in the circle and trace the outside as you have done with the other two. Draw two letter “V’s” for the bottom of the hearts and close them off with a number 3. For the mouth, draw a letter “D” and color it in with the brown fine-tip marker.
